A hollow under the eye is often one of the first things people notice in the mirror, and one of the hardest to fix with sleep or skincare, because the cause sits below the surface rather than on it.

As the eye area ages, the fatty cushion beneath it shifts and the ligament support that once held everything in place weakens. That leaves a visible groove running outward from the inner corner, casting a shadow that can look like a dark circle even when no pigment is actually present. A carefully measured amount of hyaluronic acid, placed at the right depth beneath that groove, lifts the tissue back into position and smooths the transition from lower lid to cheek.

This is a technically demanding zone to inject, given how thin the skin is and how many small vessels run through it. A blunt cannula, rather than a needle, is generally used here, entering through a single point and gliding beneath the hollow, which meaningfully lowers the chance of bruising.
